Porter Teleo is an exquisite collection of unique wall coverings and textiles. Created individually by hand, the products merge the best of fine art and design. Age-old processes of woodblock printing, chine-collé and Japanese wash-painting yield a refined aesthetic with an eclectic flair.
Inspiration for the collection is drawn from the inherent beauty found in the natural world. This canon of the collection is apparent even in the source of the raw goods used to create the line. Pigments for the line are mixed by hand, using the most saturated raw form of inks and dyes available. The products are all completely archival and the end result is without comparison.
Only the finest materials are used in the process - the richest pigments and handmade Japanese rice paper. Our Japanese papers have been made by the same family in a small mountain village for over 1,300 years. The main source of water is a fresh water river that flows through the town providing abundant plant life for the pulp material.
Each one of Porter Teleo's handmade Archives is part of a fine art edition, keeping the act of creating them and the experience of owning them both beautiful and exclusive.
